tbd Worth mentioning are the two big alliances in beginning of 2014 with Crimson Sky Menace [CsM] and the Sky Invading Rhinos [SIR] where the foundation for later success and the core members was laid.
Crimson Sky Ryders (Jan-Apr 2014)
In beginning 2014 after playing together in a lot of pubs, the Ducks [Duck] approached the leader Archriel to hold a scrim together. After winning the scrim 2-1 the players tasted blood and wanted more of that new competitive experience. The pilots Hillerton (who had previous competitive experience with The Wolfpack [WOLF]) and Lueosi from CsM started playing in the weekend skirmishes as Crimson Sky Ryders [CsRy] parallel to the ongoing Aerodrome 3vs3 tournament where they teamed up with SIR. The team exclusively took double Pyramidion with a Hades/Flak or Artemis Pyra by Hillerton and a Metamidion (Gatling/Mortar) by Lueosi. Their trademark was their aggressive playstyle with strong focus fire and high DPS capability. The Ryder roster was: Hillerton (pilot), GeoRmr (gunner), JarmenKell (gun engineer), Lochnagar (main engineer), Llamas Unite (main engineer), Dementio (main engineer) Serephen (main engineer) After convincingly winning the Aerodrome the CsRy alliance even fielded two teams into the Sky League. The main team took the original name Crimson Sky Ryders while the second team named themselves Fancy Teamkillers [FTK] with Lochnagar and Dementio piloting. On a short notice the previous CsM pilot Lueosi dropped out and had to be replaced by Mysterious Medic. After struggling in the first few matches, lots of practice and dedication from everyone involved, the team eventually ended up second place only beaten by the Mandarins [Duck].
The CsRy Ryder roster was: Hillerton (pilot), GeoRmr (gunner), JarmenKell (gun engineer), Allien' (main/gun engineer), Llamas Unite (main engineer), D.lo-res (main engineer), Dementio (engineer) The FTK Ryder roster was: Lochnagar (pilot), Dementio (pilot), Chrissie (gun engineer), MrBeachbum (main engineer), D.lo-res (main engineer), Shady-Joe (gun engineer), Extirminator (main engineer) Lots of players transitioned from CsM to Ryder after the Sky League.
Crimson Rhino Ryders (Feb/March 2014)
Wundsalz, the leader of SIR and experienced competitive pilot, was looking for an ally for the upcoming first ever 3vs3 competitive tournament, the Aerodrome. He approached Hillerton and Lueosi to build a strong team for the event. As Crimson Rhino Ryder [CRRy] they crashed the event undefeated in their triple Pyramidions. Phelan and Wundsalz for SIR, Lueosi for CsM took Metamidions while Hillerton provided ranged support in his Hades/Flak Pyra. "like a wrecking ball" and "unstoppable force" were the comments from the casters.
